Test programs for Windows 95, 98, 98SE, 2000, ME, NT, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 To download the latest update for the AR-2, AR-16, ADC-16, STA-16 and PS-4 Test software please follow these steps: (1) Create a folder to receive the installation files. (note: you may delete this folder after you complete the installation of the new software). (2) Go to the Internet site: http://www.eeci.com/download.htm (3) Download the file... AR2.zip or other (saving to the new folder that you just created). AR-2 and AR-2S use AR2.zip AR-8, AR-8X, AR-16, EX-16 and EX-32 use AR.zip ADC-4, ADC-8, ADC-16 (8 or 10 bit), AD-16 use ADC.zip STA-8, STA-16, ST-16 and ST-32 use STA.zip PS-4 use PS4.zip (4) After the download is complete (about 10 to 15 minutes on a 56K modem), open the new folder and extract the installation files by right clicking on the AR2.zip icon. After the 3 files are extracted, you may close the folder. (5) You may now go to Control Panel (add remove programs) and perform a normal software installation by browsing to the new folder and clicking on setup.exe (note: you may need to select install from Floppy or CD and then click on browse to go to the new folder). You may receive a message during installation that a file being copied is older than the file on your system. Be sure to keep your existing file and do not overwrite with the older file from the installation setup (click yes - keep when prompted). Registration information may not be updated for newer versions of Windows and may cause a registration error due to the older format (click ignore when prompted), this will not effect the performance of the new program and will only result in missing data in the Windows registry. We have used Windows ME installation libraries with the installation program to allow compatibility over the greatest range of operating systems. You may right click on the installation icon (or the program .exe icon) and select Properties - Compatibility and another operating system if you experience problems. NOTE: The DOS test programs on your Test Programs disk may or may not operate correctly above Windows 98 (if you experience problems in Windows 95 or 98 restart your computer in MS DOS mode). When using Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you may need to download one of the above Test programs to test your hardware. The DOS test programs appear to run OK on later (or updated) versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
